It’s a well-known fact: history repeats itself, first as tragedy, and then as bad French-Israeli co-production of a B-movie starring Bar Refaeli. The supermodel and underwear enthusiast will join (Hebrew-only) a cast of Israel’s finest actors to bring the 2010 assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai to the big screen. And if you thought that the real thing was comical, what with all them Fletch-like disguises and poorly forged passports, just wait until you see The Spear: according to the Israeli press, the film will revolve around a band of Mossad agents who are shocked to realize that the assassination they’ve been planning had already been carried out by a team of four unknown professionals. It’s like The Fugitive meets Trading Places!
