The plaintiffs in the case, suing the government for the right to have their son’s passport declare that he was born in Israel, are represented by Nathan Lewin, who, as senior writer Allison Hoffman reports also today in Tablet Magazine, has made a living and a legacy defending Jewish causes, including some that many (even his friend Alan Dershowitz) find indefensible.
