Winner gets a free Nextbook Press book appropriate to his or her comment (provided he or she emails me at [email protected] with his or her mailing address).

This week’s winner is “Lee,” who actually took much issue with Jeremy Seth Davis’s polemic against Nonie Darwish, but first argued, “I share some discomfort with Jewish organizations sponsoring speakers who criticize Islam or the Arab world. I don’t think the comparison to Jewish apostates in Medieval times is valid—just too many dissimilar points in the two cases—but I still think Hillel’s dictum ‘That which is abhorrent to you … ’ should apply. Muslim bashing, as understandable as it may be given the negative propaganda aimed at the Jewish State, is a bad precedent.”

Lee obviously receives a copy of Rabbi Joseph Telushkin’s Hillel: If Not Now, When?.
