• This piece goes on and on about how unutterably different Reps. Anthony Weiner and Jason Chaffetz are from each other, without mentioning a certain crucial similarity! [NYT]

Jason Chaffetz converted to Mormonism, apparently, so they no longer have that “crucial similarity.”

Let’s please not credit claims of Jewish origin for every misbegotten sleazeball presidente, in the Middle East or elsewhere. It’s just birtherism, antisemite style.

Weiler is even more interesting than you know – among other things, he’s a Modern Orthodox Jewish defender of Christianity in the public square (based on his view of religious freedom) and an advocate for Jewish-Christian rapprochement.
