Abraham Foxman.(Life)

In the journo-business, we call this Man Bites Dog: The Anti-Defamation League’s Abraham Foxman is blaming Israel for the “disaster”—his word—that was the announcement of new East Jerusalem construction during Vice President Joe Biden’s visit. According to Foxman, whether or not Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knew the announcement was coming is beside the point: “It is the government of Israel that justifiably is held accountable for converting an optimal moment in U.S.-Israel relations into a moment of crisis.”

In his article, Foxman establishes that the announcement “couldn’t have been worse.” And he says—in apparent revision of what he told Haaretz earlier this week—that he fully understands the administration’s anger.

By the end, we are back in Dog Bites Man territory. Foxman concludes: “Ultimately, Palestinian unwillingness to compromise for peace and to stop the hate are the real obstacles to peace.”

Good! Once he was a liberal. Now Mr. Foxman understood where the real Jewish interest is.

God bless him with bunch of bashers, the real self-hating Jews, neocnos and advocates of Antisemitism, so Mr. Foxman got back the reason, a seikhl א שׂכל:)

Peter W. says:

What could possibly be worse than constructing housing in Jerusalem for Jews to live in? It’s a scandal!

If those Jews would just convert to Islam before moving into the new housing in Jerusalem, Obama and the rest of the world wouldn’t complain!

Fred Mason says:

May he be blessed with many lunches…and train rides…with Uncle Joe Biden…

Bryan Shane says:

Foxman was simpy stating a fact. Why is that so controversial to some readers?

Foxman is the epitome of of the old “court Jew”. He is the Joe Lieberman of our so called (self-appointed) Jewish leaders. Whichever way the wind blows, Foxman’s opinion (and apologia) are not too far behind.

Foxman is the traditional Jewish liberal, for him to actually notice and criticize the liberal administration is profound. He has been immersed in Hollywood, helping minorities and attacking Christian, rather than expressing concern for the bias against Israel.
Liberman on the other hand has been courageously pro Israel even if it bothers the jstreet so called pro Israel but really pro Muslim put Israel at risk Jews.
Israel is under siege by the obama administration, hopefully the Jews who are really concerned about Israel will speak up just like Mr. Foxman. There will be no excuses if there is another Holocaust, you can see the forces lining up, the question is will you act or just make excuses.
