I’m not exactly sure why this is the breaking! news that the Twitter machine is calling it, but according to the AP, President Barack Obama will be making a trip to Israel next month.
Obama, who’d been taken to task during the last presidential campaign for skipping out on a trip to Israel during his first term, last went to the Levant in 2008 on a trip with Chuck Hagel. Obama will also visit Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
The announcement comes just days after John Kerry took his first swings as Secretary of State with phone calls placed to Israeli and Palestinian representatives.
