Terrible New Pamela Geller Ad Redux

Metro-North riders have probably had their fill at this point

(Jonathan Vigliotti, NBC)

Earlier this week I wrote about the terrible new ads by Pamela Geller’s organization–the American Freedom Defense Initiative–which debuted on San Francisco buses last weekend.

Today, the greater New York area is getting its dose of highly charged agitprop with the debut of AFDI’s new Metro-North ads. This time, the ads maintain the blanket racism of the San Francisco ads, but also now feature a statistic!:

“19,250 Deadly Islamic Attacks Since 9/11/01 and counting.
Not Islamophobia, It’s Islamorealism.”

The ADL has already spoken out against the ad:

“Pro-Israel doesn’t mean anti-Muslim. It is possible to support Israel without engaging in bigoted anti-Muslim and anti-Arab stereotypes.”

Here’s a short history of how Metro-North train stops became the bizarre battleground for a war of ideas about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. Last month, Scroll Editor Emeritus Marc Tracy wrote about pro-Palestinian ads, which made their way to Metro-North stations and featured a number of historical distortions. These ads were later countered with pro-Israel messages about Palestinian rejectionism.

With AFDI’s addition, the battle for the hearts and minds of the elusive Westchester County demographic can now rage on.

Geller’s ad states the simple truth of jihad as a form of savagery. How else to describe the jihadists’ deliberate murder of innocent men, women, children, toddlers, and babies — Jews, non-jihadist Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Bahai’s, Hindus, Atheists, Animists, Zoroastrians, etc.? Why insult the animal kingdom by calling jihadists bestial?
The jihadists’ fellow travelers, totalitarians and tyrants of all stripes, spots, and stains are thrilled to lend their support — it validates, in their maggot-minds, their own viciousness and nihilism.
Geller and her associates have read the tea leaves correctly. The jihadists, meantime, are busy reading their own entrails and preparing an excremental elimination of the rest of us, the humanes, followed by the termination of the useful idiot fellow-travelers.

With “freinds” like Pam Gellar, Israel and the Jews don’t NEED no enemies!

Adam, we have more than enough ‘Useful Idiots’ in the American media doing the work of the Islamists. Do yourself a favor, get educated on the subject and remove yourself from the list.

Why Muslims Must Hate Jews
By Nonie Darwish

Recently, a Pakistani religious leader, Pirzada Muhammad Raza Saqib Mustafai, said: “When the Jews are wiped out … the sun of peace [will] begin to rise on the entire world.” The same preaching is routinely done not only by clerics, but by politicians — in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and elsewhere. This is not just Ahmedinijad; it is at the heart of Islamic theology that world peace will be established only when all the Jews are wiped from the earth. But few people in Western media are alarmed by this kind of rhetoric or care to expose this dreadful dark side of Islam’s obsession with Jew-hatred.

I do not believe that one has to be an authority on human behavior or group thinking to find out the obvious pathology in Islamic Jew-hatred. It is time for all of us to uncover and expose this atrocity against the Jewish people. We owe that to humanity and the truth.

No true Muslim can see that such hatred is unbecoming and unholy for a world religion to focus on and that the credibility of Islam is tarnished by such hatred. No Muslim is allowed to go far enough to self-analyze or ask why such hatred. Muslims defend Jew-hatred by claiming that Jews betrayed Muhammad and thus deserve of this kind of treatment. Even when I was a Muslim, I believed that the one-sided story against Jews by Islam was enough to justify all the killing, terror, lies, and propaganda by Islamic leaders against Jews. To the average Muslim, routinely cursing Jews in mosques feels normal and even holy!

Learning about Islam from Nonie Darwish is exactly like learning about Judaism from Gilad Atzmon.

      paul delano says:

Atzmon grew up in a secular family with no instruction in Judaism or Jewish culture. He is considered an anti-semite by both Zionists AND anti-Zionists. Darwish grew up in a traditional Egyptian upper-class muslim family. She was introduced to islam at an early age, went to the mosque and observed and performed all the rituals attendant to Islam. Today she is a noted Human Rights worker and writer. Trying to lower her to the level of Atzmon is not only desperate but incredibly stupid.

What Atzmon lacks in a traditional Jewish upbringing, he makes up for with his background as a former Israeli. His target audience could care less that he’s only extrapolating his view of Israel onto Judaism as a whole and passing that off as knowledge. He and Darwish both sell a product using their backgrounds as part of the sales pitch. They are not a serious source of knowledge on the topics they profess to know about. They are charlatans.

On Darwish’s end, she writes a load of blatantly pandering horse-dookie: “After a lot of thinking, analysis, research, and writing, I discovered that Jew -atred in Islam is an essential foundation to the Islamic belief system that Muslims cannot seem to be able to rid themselves of.” So in that case, because a certain prophet commanded his followers to rape enemy civilians, that must be central to Judaism, right?

Also, Islamic-Jewish relations are a lot more complex than this nugget: “Any attempt to forgive, humanize, or live peacefully with Jews is considered treason against Islam.” Try looking up how Jerusalem was ruled by the Byzantines vs. the Umayyads or where Sephardim fled the Inquisition. Most Islamic rulers were treasonous on that score.

          paul delano says:

Andrew, the only reason Jews have always been tolerated and/or welcomed to live in arab/muslim countries was/is because of the financial benefit the muslim treasuries received from their skills and businesses. not because of any great generosity of heart. As always, they were stamped as dhimmis, second class citizens, and their lives and welfare could be turned upside down at any moment because of some rumoured offense against Islam or a demand to convert to Islam. Muslim hatred of Jews is a main component of islam and Darwish is not the only ex-muslim to attest to this fact.

How about we go over the history of Jews under the Catholic Church? I don’t see any ex-Christians making a career out of telling us Jew-hatred is built into that religion.
Not to mention that tolerating Jews for any reason is still way off from how Darwish portrays their situation under Islam.

I just read a comment and the writer used the term anti-Semite. It’s sad that Jews have accepted a term, anti-Semitism, which was penned by an rabid anti-Jew journalist in 19th century Austria. Jews don’t like to use the term Jew. I love the term or classification or just being a Jew. Not Jewish, but a Jew. We Jews don’t like each other and after 6,000 years of history and thousands of years of hatred we, who should stand like lions, are ashamed and embarrased to be called Jews. There is no people in the world who have done so much for the human race than the Jews and we still don’t know who we are. I recall Jews in Allentown, PA fightining over the height of the habima and the Lubitcher’s don’t talk to any of the other Jews. What is wrong with us? If God really is here why does he allow these ridiculous and terrible things happen to Jews. He destroyed Sodom and Gemmorah, he flooded the world so why didn’t he kill the Nazis and why didn’t he strike the Arabs and Iran?

Gloria Messer says:

Do not understand all the fuss about this ad. I do not hear any complaints about the anti-semitic ad at the 163rd ST C train station, which blames Israelis for HOMELESSNESS. HOW COME THE MTA ACCEPTS ANTI_SEMITIC ADS BLAMING JEWS FOR HOMELESSNESS IN HARLEM?
