Sarah Wildman and the author.(The Posner Show)

If you’d like some afternoon viewing, yesterday I did a Bloggingheads with Sarah Wildman, an excellent journalist whose work frequently appears in Slate, the New York Times, and the Forward. You can watch the whole thing, which includes discussions of Time‘s Benjamin Netanyahu cover story and the non-commemoration of the Munich 11, here; you can watch a shorter clip below.

COMMENTING CHARGES
Daily rate: $2
Monthly rate: $18
Yearly rate: $180

WAIT, WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO COMMENT?
Tablet is committed to bringing you the best, smartest, most enlightening and entertaining reporting and writing on Jewish life, all free of charge. We take pride in our community of readers, and are thrilled that you choose to engage with us in a way that is both thoughtful and thought-provoking. But the Internet, for all of its wonders, poses challenges to civilized and constructive discussion, allowing vocal—and, often, anonymous—minorities to drag it down with invective (and worse). Starting today, then, we are asking people who'd like to post comments on the site to pay a nominal fee—less a paywall than a gesture of your own commitment to the cause of great conversation. All proceeds go to helping us bring you the ambitious journalism that brought you here in the first place.

I NEED TO BE HEARD! BUT I DONT WANT TO PAY.
Readers can still interact with us free of charge via Facebook, Twitter, and our other social media channels, or write to us at letters@tabletmag.com. Each week, we’ll select the best letters and publish them in a new letters to the editor feature on the Scroll.

We hope this new largely symbolic measure will help us create a more pleasant and cultivated environment for all of our readers, and, as always, we thank you deeply for your support.

OK we get it, you support Israel, just not the Israel that exists now and today in the real world, but rather a magical, utopian Jewish fairyland Israel that exists only in your liberal imagination. Israel is a real place with frightening and genuine existential challenges, it will not self immolate just to assuage your liberal guilt. It is nauseating to watch leftist Jews struggle with the distance between the reality and their pipe dreams. The real Israel that exists now  is probably about as good as it is going to get for the time being.  So do us all a favor and drop the angst and insufferable self righteousness and decide which side if any you wish to be on and be done with it.

You guys don’t have a clue–2 small examples–if Obama “gets it” why was his spiritual mentor for many years an anti-semite and an opponent of Israel? Honestly how do you explain it?  Did you ever think that he is a politician and telling the audience at the Holocaust museum what they wanted to hear? As for Mark’s contention that Israel is responsible for the fact that there is no peace process. Maybe it’s because the Palestinians have shown no real signs that they are actually interested in having a state. Maybe because the Israeli public will not withdraw from any territory at this stage after what happened after the withdrawal from Lebanon and Gaza. The land for missiles policy isn’t too popular in Israel anymore. Say we take your advice and pull back to the 67 borders. The next  day 50 missiles fall on Israel killing 200 people. What will be your response? OOps. Sorry I was wrong. By the way that isn’t a theoretical example it is exactly what happened with the Oslo accords and the withdrawal from Gaza and Lebanon.

What can you do as a liberal American Jew who wants to make a difference? You can move to Israel and vote.

Could you add some context to the links you post?  It looks like spamming.
